Reotemp Instrument Corp., a manufacturer of temperature and pressure instrumentation, recently signed a 12-year lease for a 75,000-square-foot industrial building in Scripps Ranch, where the company plans to consolidate operations and expand its local footprint.
The lease covers the property at 10225 Willow Creek Road, owned by Luminous Capital Management and Virtus Real Estate Capital. Reotemp is expected to take occupancy following completion of tenant improvements, which are scheduled for the second quarter of 2027.
Cushman & Wakefield's San Diego office represented both landlord and tenant in the lease transaction.
The brokerage's Brant Aberg, Bryce Aberg, and Louay Alsadek listed the property for Luminous, while Cushman & Wakefield's Andy Ewald and Peter Curry worked on behalf of Reotemp.
Cushman & Wakefield's project development services team, led by Jason Thatcher, is managing the tenant construction.
The move will allow Reotemp to combine several facilities it currently operates in Sorrento Valley into a single headquarters location. The company plans to expand its California operations from approximately 35,000 square feet to 55,000 square feet, while reserving additional space for future growth. Reotemp will be the sole occupant of the building, which sits on a 4.6-acre site within the Scripps Ranch Business Park.
Luminous and Virtus Real Estate acquired the property in 2021 from LG Electronics USA and subsequently renovated the facility. Improvements included increasing the building's electrical capacity to support advanced manufacturing and life science users.
The new facility will serve as Reotemp's corporate headquarters and house executive offices, sales and marketing teams, administrative functions, research and development, engineering, manufacturing, distribution, and customer service operations for selected product lines.
"We're making a long-term bet on American manufacturing and on San Diego, our home for the last 50 years," Reotemp chief executive officer Brian O'Leary said in a statement.
He said consolidating the company's San Diego workforce under one roof would expand production capacity while maintaining short lead times for customers.
Reotemp also operates a manufacturing facility in Houston and distributes its products from both locations.
